I'm recovering from a Mommy Makeover surgery and this is the 3rd compression garment I've worn. I was sent home in a Marena that was in separate pieces (1.arms & chest piece 2. Torso to thigh piece). I used 2 sizes of that then switched to a different brand but similar 2 pieces. Only difference was that this top went under the breasts so you had to use your own bra. I just used a bandeau bra. It wasn't comfortable but I made it work for a week. Now I got a recommendation for this one!The first one I ordered using the size chart, was way too small. I couldn't get 1 hook to meet up!!! Please believe the reviews that tell you to size up! But the exchange was easy and this current one is SO COMFORTABLE!The first time putting it on was HARD WORK, I'm not going to lie. But if you read the manufactures suggestions, it is doable. Here's my step by step suggestions:1. Take time to stretch it out a lot once you take it out of the package.2. Start with the legs and really get the inner seams lined up and directly on your crotch/inner thigh.3. Next pull up the backside over your booty. Take time to line up the seam on your crack. Bend forward to stretch your cheeks into it.4. Now stand up and put one sleeve on (one at a time!) And use your other hand to help pull it over your shoulder. Take time to really line up the seams and get it comfortable on that arm.5. Now do the other arm.At this point you might look at yourself and think you will never be able to close this. But you will!!6. I close the chest piece first - that's the easiest part.7. Now is the hard part. You can start at the top or bottom - didn't seem to matter. I had a tummy tuck which means I have a healing belly button. I cut a little gauze pad to cushion it because these hooks go right over it! You can lean back, suck in your belly if able, and stand with your feet together. Whatever it takes to get that first hook connected. After that you just keep working the hooks one by one.Once it's on, it feels amazing! I took some time to smooth out any wrinkles & adjust the thigh length. Now the only thing weird about this is the flap of fabric in the crotch area. It just hangs there and that can get caught up in your labia - not cool! So you have to lay it flat and try to tuck it in the other side. Also, when using the toilet, I have to fold that flap under and tuck it into the leg so it doesn't get pee on it! I've read other have cut it off or sewn it.So overall I give this an 9 out of 10. It really feels good once it's fastened. Nice even compression and you can't even tell once dressed. I love that there's 4 rows of hooks to with through as I continue to lose weight and get rid of the fluid retention.Hope this helps!!
